The first and the major step to join Google plus is to sign up at the Google website, if you do not have a Google account then create it and if you already have one then simply sign in and create a personal Google+ profile.

Second step is to create a page for your business, go to create a page option on Google+ and follow the steps as under. You can choose from five main categories.

  • Local Business or Place- this includes hotels, restaurants, places, stores. If you choose this category then you will be asked for the country in which the business is located and primary phone number. Add the information asked and continue.

  • Product or brand- here enter your page name and website and choose a category under which your business comes.

  • Company, Institution or Organization- here also you have to add your page name and website and choose an applicable category.

  • Arts, Entertainment or Sports- again enter your page name and website and choose the category.

  • Other- if your page does not fit in any of the above categories then select this option.

Third step is to customize your page’s public profile. Add a profile photo and tagline, and then edit your page information, and then add the photostrip, these are the five photos which will appear underneath your page’s name and tagline. Now your Google+ page is ready.

After creating the page follow and engage with your fans, there are categories:

Team members: people with whom you share information.

VIP’s: your loyal customers and closest partners.
